Schweizer Fellows, Inc. donates $1000 towards Lake Eola Fountain Restoration Oct 26, 2009--The NMS Fellows have donated $1000 to the Orlando Community Youth & Trust for restoration of downtown Orlando's Lake Eola Fountain. RBR360 Design Competition Winners announced Aug 25, 2008--Judging took place on Saturday August 23rd at Orlando City Hall on the nineteen entries received. Judges/architects: Gene Leedy, Luigi Seta and Kevin Schweizer reviewed nineteen submissions from local and international designers. After much deliberation, the following winners were announced with a $360 1st PLACE AWARD going to:
Reception planned to honor Alfred Browning Parker Aug 20, 2008--A reception is planned on Friday September 26th, 2008 at the University of Florida to celebrate the architectural achievements and 92nd birthday of Alfred Browning Parker. His modern homes where created with an organic quality similiar to the houses of Frank Lloyd Wright and in 1954 he won House Beautiful's "Pacesetter" award.
Church of the Good Shepherd Mar 16, 2008--The Nils M. Schweizer Fellows made a good showing Saturday, March 15th at the Church of the Good Shepherd. A big thanks to the following members for taking time to help out: Michael Bolin, Beverly Gurtis, Ray Johnson, John Kaiser and Kevin Schweizer. The church designed in 1967 by Nils is a very special place. It is here that he was buried, twenty years ago this year.

NMS Fellows members recognized for special contributions Apr 25, 2006--Carl Cirillo and Sean Brunson were recognized at the Sheehy House April 25th meeting for their contributions towards the preservation of central Florida's mid-century modern architecture. Kevin Schweizer , vice-president, presented Carl with a plaque for the development of centralfloridamodern.com and Sean with one for the development of marketing pieces.

Site Launched For Previewing Nov 21, 2005--CENTRALFLORIDAMODERN.com was launched today as a preview for our members to view the site's continued progress. As such, there is still quite a bit of missing and incomplete content. We're updating the site regularly and anticipate a more "official" launch date around January 2006. Please check back often and spread the word.
Eminent Domain Issue Aug 15, 2005--We recently learned that an original Nils M. Schweizer designed house belonging to one of our members is being targeted for an eminent domain case. We'll post updated information here as it becomes available.
