Sunbank office building

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS,FL

This project is a 40,000 SF office building with a branch bank and drive thru. Given the required stacking lanes and the odd configuration of the site a triangular plan was chosen to provide an optimum solution for vehicular circulation and maximum building yield

This building was built to the maximum height allowed by city code for maximum utlization of the urban site. The remaining tree canopy was enhanced by the use of reflective glass. Alan B. Parker was the managing owner.

This building was the legal offices of John Sutton and rental offices with parking under the building taking advantage of the slope to the lake on the east side. 

FLORIDA SOUTHERN COLLEGE

LAKELAND,FL 

The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed buildings on the Florida Southern College campus have been included on the World Monument Fund's list of 100 most endangered sites in the world.

The College has the world's largest single-site collection of Wright's buildings and is the only college campus designed by the master architect. 
 

American federal building

ORLANDO,FL

Frank Sheehy worked on the design of this building as a young architect. He worked for Robert Murphy, a Charleston, SC native and Harvard graduate. Robert settled in Orlando in 1947 upon retiring from the Army Air Corps. Educated under Walter Gropius, founder of the Bauhaus school and one of the pioneering masters of modern architecture, the firm he founded still exists today under the name, HuntonBrady architects. The Nils M. Schweizer Fellows led a 10 year preservation effort with saving the cast concrete brise soleil pieces before demolition. Today, you can view one of the 20' tall sections in the park in front of the Orange County History Center downtown.

Size: 3400sf

This building is at the corner of Marks street and Highland. Leona Helmsley donated the money to build this after her only son died from a heart attack while working at the Harley Hotel in downtown Orlando. Renowned architecture firm Architectonica out of Miami were the designers.
